I'm Chris and I'm the founder of the Scratch Choir, it's organiser and (very much self-appointed!) Musical Director. I teach the Bass and Tenor parts, generally lead the choir, warm ups and conduct the learning and rehearsals and I also conduct the Scratch Choir performance. Although I didn't start singing until relatively recently in life, I now lead the local performing a cappella group, Somer Singers. I'm a fun, inspirational type of character, who will try to get the best out of you but above all ensure you enjoy yourself.
You'll be delighted to know that the gorgeous Ali has agreed to lead the Alto section again this year. Ever popular with Scratch Choir members, Ali will be a part teacher and general all-round nice person, helping to make sure the group is looked after and working well together. Having been singing from a young age in a family full of music, Ali's also a founding member of Somer Singers.
And leading the Sopranos again this year is the wonderfully talented Barbara. Last year Barbara gave us her arrangement of Eye In The Sky. As the resident musical talent, she will be ganging up with Ali to make sure that Chris doesn't make quite as many mistakes as he's prone to. Barbara sings in two local choirs and often leads Langport Community Choir's soprano section too.
